Shoppers Supply Owner Jim Schmidt

Shopper's Supply will be celebrating its 42nd year in business in 2008.

“We are your locally owned, Hometown Farm Store,” says Owner Jim Schmidt, “We are
proud to have served you over the past years and thank you for shopping locally in our
five locations.”

Tami Estlund, Advertising Director, is excited about a new website enhancement. On

“This will be a great way for our customers who may not receive our flyers to see what
we have to offer and take advantage of our sale prices,” says Estlund

Besides Sale Flyers, other online specials will be on the website.

“We will be offering coupons and other specials on the website, Estlund continues, So be sure and check it out each week by clicking on the link Current Specials.”

Shoppers Supply has added some exciting new lines of merchandise for 2008.

A Dee Zee Truck Tool Box Shop has been setup in the Fort Dodge, Webster City, and the Des Moines locations.

This concept shop features over 30 styles of pick-up tool boxes, storage boxes, and fuel tanks in tread brite aluminum, black, and camouflage. Theses are made at Dee Zee Manufacturing in Des Moines Iowa.

The Truck Tool Box Shop is organized using a good, better, best, and specialty classification.

According to Andy Sowle, Automotive Buyer, this concept has also allowed stores to carry a larger selection of truck tool boxes.

“This way customers can actually see the many different styles of truck tool boxes and compare,” says Sowle, “They can also special order out of the 150 page Dee Zee catalog if they like.”

He quickly adds that, “in our Des Moines location the Truck Concept Shop also carries a selection of bed mats, nerf steps, bed rails and mud flaps.”

The Pet Department has received a “new look” with products from Scott Pet.

The new set includes a large selection of dog collars, leashes, choke chains tie out chains, and toys as well as a nice selection of items for the hunting dog.

The dog collars, which are available in nylon and leather, are manufactured at the company's plant in Rockville, Indiana just outside of Indianapolis.

According to Dale Proctor, Pet Buyer, “Scott Pet offers a quality collar made in the USA and gave us the opportunity to consolidate vendors and their “Pork Chomps” treat program is great.”

“Pork Chomps” are a pork skin treat that come in a full variety of sizes and shapes, in natural, smoked and even in peanut butter flavored.

Proctor says, “The Pork Chomps treat are 100% digestible for your dog, which makes it much safer for your pet. The response has been great and we have received a lot of good comments from the pet owners,” he finishes.

A full line of Natural Treats is also available.

“These are many of the old favorites like pig ears,” Proctor says, “There are pork femurs, cow hoof chews, 7-12” beefy bones, smoked prime ribs and more. This is the largest selection we have ever had.”

Stop in and check out these new items in the pet department.

While Shoppers Supply moves into the future with a lot of positive changes, Schmidt assures one old favorite remains the same.

“There’s still free popcorn, every day!”
